The European Patients’ Forum (EPF) is an independent non-profit, non-governmental umbrella organisation of patient organisations across Europe and across disease areas. Their 78 members include disease-specific patient groups, active at EU level and national coalitions of patients. Through initiatives like EUCAPA, EPF equips patients with the knowledge and skills to actively engage in healthcare processes, fostering a collaborative approach to health technology evaluations.

SOLIDAR is a European network of Civil Society Organisations advocating for social justice and a just transition globally. With over 50 members spanning 26 countries, SOLIDAR champions solidarity, equality, and participation across social affairs, lifelong learning, and international cooperation.

The European Multiple Sclerosis Platform (EMSP) is a Pan-European umbrella organisation with over 30 years of expertise. They work together with 43 members organisations from 37 countries and our partners to ensure that the more than one million people affected by multiple sclerosis (MS) in Europe, have a real voice in determining their own priorities. Between 2019-2023 EMSP hired us to design their printed annual report and to prepare an interactive web-based implementation of the same document.

We partnered with the European Multiple Sclerosis Platform (EMSP) to craft a comprehensive visual identity for their Young People's Network (YPN) initiative. This collaboration encompassed the design of a distinctive new logo, the development of detailed brand guidelines, and the art direction and creation of stationery and social media assets.

Our approach was rooted in aligning the YPN’s identity with EMSP’s established branding while embracing a more youthful, dynamic aesthetic. We introduced a vibrant colour palette and innovative visual elements to resonate with younger audiences while maintaining a professional and cohesive connection to EMSP’s overall image.



We partnered with EMSP to create a vibrant branding for their Young People's Network, designing a new logo, brand guidelines, and assets that blend dynamic colours with themes of strength, unity, and progress.

YPN Project Branding Design

Missing Children Europe (MCE) is the European federation of 32 grassroots organisations working to prevent and protect missing and
sexually exploited children. Missing Children Europe coordinates the network of 116 000 hotlines for missing children, a dedicated
service for children (at risk of) going missing and their families; and the cross-border family mediators’ network that prevents and resolves parental abductions. Their 32 member organisations are active on the ground in 27 European countries, preventing, protecting, and supporting missing and sexually exploited children and their families.

The purpose of the annual report is to provide a comprehensive overview of the organisation's accomplishments and progress in the previous year, as well as to outline future plans and challenges. This specific project involved the design of the latest edition of the Missing Children Europe Annual Review & Figures and Trends Reports.

The design and visual elements were crafted to align with this theme, highlighting the increasing importance of online communication, smartphone usage, and community building efforts.

Missing Children Europe Printed Reports 2022

The European Citizen Action Service (ECAS) is an international, Brussels-based non-profit organisation with a pan-European membership and more than 30 years of experience. Their mission is to empower citizens in order to create a more inclusive and stronger European Union by promoting and defending citizens’ rights and by developing and supporting mechanisms to increase citizens and citizen organisations’ democratic participation in, and engagement with, the EU.

In 2020, ECAS approached us to design a logo for its 30th anniversary, increase its website traffic to its 2017 levels, improve its newsletter, streamline its communication operations, and build a strong communication strategy.

We have not only increased their followership and traffic on every single channel and over-delivered in every single aspect, but we have also helped to strengthen the communication department to the point where it has remained constant and successful during the past three years.

We have worked closely with ECAS for the last three years, supporting their campaigns and projects as Communication Consultants. We managed to increase significantly their website traffic to its 2017 level after a huge drop in visitors, thanks to our work with Google Ad Grants and other growth hacking strategies. We also created a solid Communication Strategy for ECAS in the framework of their 4-year Operating Grant in 2021, which received a 91% score from the European Commission. Lastly, we have been contributing to the success of multiple citizen engagement campaigns on social media by planning and setting up numerous Europe-wide multilingual paid ad campaigns to boost citizen engagement.

Their services include developing video, audio, and other multimedia content for various types of projects, such as conferences and awareness campaigns, both short-term and long-term. They strive to create meaningful stories that resonate with their audiences and drive positive impact.

The European Multiple Sclerosis Platform (EMSP) is a Pan-European umbrella organisation with over 30 years of expertise. They work together with 43 members organisations from 37 countries and our partners to ensure that the more than one million people affected by multiple sclerosis (MS) in Europe, have a real voice in determining their own priorities. 

Our Co-Founder, Mate Tagaj worked at the European Multiple Sclerosis Platform (EMSP) in Brussels between 2018-2023, registering multiple achievements. This includes the digital rollout of various Europe-wide campaigns like those of the MS Barometer and the Impact of MS Survey (IMSS), as well as leading on the communication campaigns of the EMSP Annual Conference each year. In 2023, Mate left EMSP as a full-time employee, but kept working for the organisation as a Boostern consultant until the end of July.

In 2023 and 2024 we were requested to design a variety of assets for the European Citizen Action Service (ECAS), a non-profit organization that empowers citizens to create a more inclusive and stronger European Union. The assets included ad banners for paid PPC promotion, a new organizational business card and event agendas for the State of the Union Citizens’ Rights 2023 and Digital Democracy Day 2024 Conferences.

We worked closely with ECAS to ensure that all of the design assets met their specific needs and goals. We also provided ECAS with guidance on how to best use the assets to achieve their desired results. 

The design assets were well-received by the organization and its members. The ad banners were successful in generating traffic and conversions to support several promotional campaigns. The new business card has been well-received by ECAS's partners and stakeholders, and the event flyer helped to promote the State of the Union Citizens' Rights 2023 Conference, which was a success.

In 2023 we developed a web-based microsite for the Annual Report of the European Multiple Sclerosis Platform (EMSP). After designing the layout of the printed version of the 50+ pager annual report, we’ve converted the same content into a scrollable one-pager site where people are able to access the same information in a more user-friendly interactive format. The website is enriched with micro-animations, an interactive map, document download, blogging feature, interactive charts and more. Audiences today mostly expect that any information is online, available whenever they want it. And they expect the communication to be well-designed, easy to read and mobile-friendly. Publication on the web for 'digital first' content experiences is used typically more for marketing communications, like for annual reports, which is an innovative way of showing last year’s achievements. Even more for a non-profit organisation.

EMSP Printed Annual Report 2022

The European Multiple Sclerosis Platform (EMSP) is a Pan-European umbrella organisation with over 30 years of expertise. They work together with 43 members organisations from 37 countries and our partners to ensure that the more than one million people affected by multiple sclerosis (MS) in Europe, have a real voice in determining their own priorities. EMSP runs several pilot projects. One of them is the MS Barometer, a benchmarking advocacy tool collecting key information on Multiple Sclerosis (MS) in 35 countries. EMSP Hired us to design a layout for the 50-pager 2020 report and its 35 country factsheets which were also translated to different languages. We were also asked to develop an interactive platform where the main data from the Barometer is showcased and where the national level data can be compared with each other. All this made future proof with a custom backend where the future editions of the barometer can be uploaded in a user friendly format.

A massive online benchmarking tool to showcase comparative health data from 35 European countries

MS Barometer Project

Our team collaborated with EMSP to develop a comprehensive visual identity for their project, including designing a new logo, creating brand guidelines, and overseeing art direction and design of stationery elements. 

Through this process, we aimed to align the visual identity with the organization's established color palette and overall aesthetic. Additionally, we introduced a range of creative concepts, particularly focusing on the use of swirl gradients and incorporating the themes of progress and movement through color choices.

This is our most recent collaboration with EMSP. We were in charge of creating the logo for the project, brand guidelines, art direction, and the stationery elements' design.

Their brief included the following keywords and main concepts:
«Gender-neutral, simple yet modern with playful elements coming together to form an approachable look and feel.»

We created this visual identity to be in line with the organization's primary color palette and general visual style however, we introduced multiple innovative ideas mainly around the idea of the swirl gradients and depiction of progress and movement with colors.

Full-scale project branding development designing the logo and brand guideline for a Europe-wide survey assessing the symptoms of MS.

IMSS Survey Branding Design

This project aims to identify existing resources and unmet needs for caregivers of paediatric MS patients, develop a set of recommendations to improve the support received by caregivers and specialized healthcare professionals, and, ultimately, raise awareness.

Our main task was to work together with the animators that created a short, animated video about the subject. We used all the different visual elements that appeared in the video to convey the same message adhering to the same style. The objective of this publication was to complement the video with more in-depth insights.

EMSP Printed Annual Report 2021 Design

The European Patients’ Forum (EPF) is a non-profit umbrella organisation of patient organisations across Europe and across disease-areas with 77 members. EPF is involved in the EU funded VAC-PACT project that aims to improve uptake and confidence in vaccines for patients with chronic diseases, families and supporting communities. They hired us to build a custom platform with e-learning functionalities showcasing information about vaccines in 20 languages.

The Vaccination Confidence – Patients’ and Professionals’ Awareness, Communication and Trust EU-funded project provides patients with chronic diseases, health professionals, and supporting communities with tailored information about the importance of vaccines in their specific contexts, working towards improving vaccine uptake and confidence. With the European Patients’ Forum (EPF) we redesigned and built a custom platform accessible in 24 languages, making this crucial information available across the continent.

VAC-PACT Project

This project entailed the creation of the 2020 edition of the European Multiple Sclerosis Platform's (EMSP) annual report. The primary obstacle encountered was the lack of imagery and content resulting from the lockdown and the cancellation of events and conventions during the period in question. 

Despite the difficulties posed by the lockdown, we still managed to communicate the key takeaways from online events and include information about upcoming online workshops and community-building events.
