SBS faced significant challenges with its outdated website and members' area, originally built on Drupal in 2013. The platforms struggled with poor usability, a cluttered structure, and a lack of modern features, making navigation difficult for users and management cumbersome for admins. A UX study revealed negative user experiences, further highlighting the need for a redesign. Content architecture was outdated, the interface lacked visual appeal, and the platforms were not mobile-friendly. The members' area suffered from inefficient file sharing, limited access controls, and an inability to effectively meet the needs of SBS’s network. Additionally, the hosting environment required an update to ensure reliability and security. With these challenges in mind, SBS sought a comprehensive solution to create modern, user-friendly platforms that aligned with its mission of supporting SMEs in standardisation.
To tackle SBS’s challenges, Boostern redesigned the website on WordPress with Elementor, creating a custom, modern, mobile-friendly platform with improved navigation and GDPR compliance. For the members’ area, we developed a secure Laravel-based hub with enhanced file sharing, access management, and tailored content organisation. Our solutions delivered streamlined usability, captivating visuals, and tools that empower SBS and its stakeholders.
